Stunning Exhibition
St. Petroc’s Church was delighted to be filled with magnificent textile masterpieces for a three day period.
On the 14th to 16th of September, Beacon Quilters, Bodmin, held their first patchwork and quilting exhibition since Covid lockdowns.
At least 100 items were on show, including large bed quilts, lap quilts, wall hangings, bags and clothing.
More than 250 visitors enjoyed the quilting experience, marvelling at both the quilts and the church. Feedback was fantastic and many mentioned how the church and quilts complemented each other.
The patchwork jacket, by Sharon Standen, appeared to be the star of the show.
Pat Twigg said: “As chair of Beacon Quilters, I was delighted with everything about the exhibition.”
Proceeds from the entrance and raffle are being split between church funds and the Music Memory Group that meets regularly in Lanivet Village Hall and works with suffers of dementia.
